Day One – Friday 24 July

Night Sweat Lodge – Rebirth Through the Four Elements

Our journey begins around the sacred fire before entering the Sweat Lodge, an ancient purification ceremony representing the womb of Mother Earth.

Working with the four elementsβ€”Earth, Water, Fire and Airβ€”we reconnect with the natural forces that live both within us and around us. Through prayer, heat, steam, song and silence, we seek balance between body, mind and spirit.

The Sweat Lodge also offers an opportunity to honour our ancestors, recognise the gifts and challenges of our family lineage, and bring harmony to the relationship with those who came before us.

As we move through the ceremony we work with Atlachinolli, the sacred union of Fire and Water, symbolising transformation and the transmutation of heavy emotions, limiting beliefs and stagnant energy. The intention is to leave behind what no longer belongs to us and emerge renewed.

The ceremony concludes with gratitude to Mother Earth, the giver of life, planting strong prayers for self-love, healthy boundaries and the life we wish to create.

🌿 Day Two – Saturday 25 July

Sacred Fire Ceremony – Walking Through the Darkness Towards the Light

Our second night is dedicated to the traditions of the South, where the sacred fire becomes our guide through the darkness.

Around the fire we learn about the respectful use of sacred plants, particularly tobacco, as an offering and prayer to connect with the Great Mystery.

Throughout the night we embrace silence, reflection and music while exploring the symbolic journey from darkness into light. This is an invitation to meet our shadow with compassion, soften the ego and reconnect with our deepest truth.

Inspired by the wisdom of Indigenous traditions from Colombia and the Amazon rainforest, the ceremony offers space for both personal and collective healing.

As dawn approaches we welcome the first rays of the sun with gratitude, celebrating a new beginning and carrying forward our prayers with clarity, hope and purpose.

🌿 About the Facilitator

The retreat is held by the Inti & Waira House team, led by Rafa Semilla, a ceremonial facilitator and percussionist with over fifteen years of experience working with Indigenous traditions, music, prayer, sound and community wellbeing.

Rafa's work combines ancestral teachings from Latin America with music, nature and ceremony, creating safe and respectful spaces for personal transformation, healing and cultural exchange.
