Healing Benefits of Sweat Lodge Ceremonies

Mental Healing - it frees the mind of distractions, offering clarity.

Spiritual Healing - it allows for introspection and connection to the planet and the spirit world.

Physical Healing - it can potentially provide antibacterial and wound-healing benefits.

The sweat ceremony is intended as a spiritual reunion with the creator and a respectful connection to the earth itself as much as it is meant for purging toxins out of the physical body.

This ceremony is also an opportunity to connect to our ancestors to heal and give gratitude as often we carry past traumas that have been passed to us through our family lineage. The elders often said that the sweat Lodge is “the place where we remember who we are”.

Sacred Cacao Ceremony and Sound Journey

Sacred Cacao Ceremony and Sound Journey

Cacao Ritual

The Food of the Gods.

The cocoa plant emerged in mesoamerica around 1900 bc. in the coasts of the gulf of mexico, with the olmecs who were the first to cultivate it and discover its flavour in the form of a drink mixed with water; later, the use of cocoa spread to the mayan populations (600 ad) and aztecs (1400 ad).

The cocoa seed or grain contains theobromine, an alkaloid that stimulates central nervous system, so that when consumed it produces a sensation of well-being, acts as a mild diuretic and relaxes blood vessels and softens muscles.

Sacred cacao medicine is use by the mayas and many other cultures from the American continent. cacao is 'the food for the shift'. An indigenous myth tells us whenever the balance between humans and nature becomes threatened, cacao comes from the rainforest to open people's hearts and return us all to harmony.

The spirit of cocoa is one of the most powerful deities in Mayan cosmology, They called him "Ku-Ku" which means Sacred above the sacred.

A tradition of thousands of years, bequeathed to us by our ancestors accompanied with shamanic healing chants, is the door to make a trip to our interior and open our hearts.

Programme:

ceremony starts at 4pm until 7pm:

*copal cleansing: smudging

*opening of ceremony by Don Santiago

*serving of cacao

*Meditation, sound journey… and dance.

***heads up note: many antidepressants do not mix with the tryptophan and mao (monoamine oxidase) inhibitors in this cacao…

google your medication! – i have seen some very painful migraine headaches...

We will meditate the fist part of the ceremony in silence and darkness, for about 20min to 30min. We will then bring the light back to the space and the sound journey will begin. We will sing and drum and dance.

The ceremonial and ritual use that our old olmec grandparents make of nature is linked by our cosmovision and culture related to the environment in which they live and, in general, about the place they occupy in the universe.

Currently, the use of nature/plants for ceremonial and ritual purposes persists in the indigenous peoples and local communities of mexico.

The conception of the sacred remains fundamental to the bond between humans and divine beings.

Cacao Ceremony

Held at the beautiful inti and waora housde, this sacred cacao ceremony invites you into a circle of love, compassion, and connection. Through prayer, music, live drumming, sacred songs, and movement, we honour cacao as a powerful heart-opening plant teacher and a bridge between ancestral traditions and contemporary life.

This Valentine’s Day, we come together not only to celebrate romantic love, but love in all its forms — love for self, community, ancestors, and the living earth. A space to soften, open the heart, and reconnect with what truly matters.

All hearts are welcome.

Our London cacao ceremony is rooted in ancestral practices from Mexico and Olmec traditions, respectfully shared and held in a modern, welcoming environment. The ceremony combines ceremonial cacao, prayer, rhythm, silence, and joyful movement, creating a safe and inclusive space for emotional opening and collective intention.

This event is ideal for those seeking:

  • a deeper connection to self and others

  • a heart-centred spiritual experience

  • a conscious Valentine’s Day celebration

  • an introduction to cacao ceremonies

  • a blend of ancient ritual and modern sound

Guided by experienced facilitators and musicians, Corazón Sagrado is an invitation to slow down, listen to the heart, and celebrate love as a living prayer.

SOAK – School of Ancestral Knowledge

Through our gatherings and ceremonies, many people feel the call to go deeper.
This is why we created SOAK – School of Ancestral Knowledge — a space dedicated to sharing authentic ancestral teachings with integrity, respect, and continuity.

SOAK works directly with authentic teachers from Mexico, carriers of ancient lineages and living traditions. These teachings are not theoretical; they are lived paths rooted in relationship with nature, the elements, and community.

One of our main teachers is Don Santiago, a Mazatec elder and carrier of the Olmec tradition — one of the first civilizations of the American continent. His teachings are grounded, humble, and deeply connected to the natural world.

Course Announcement – Spring 2026.

The Flight of the Eagle

4-Day Ancestral Immersion | Spring

This spring, Don Santiago will be visiting us to offer a 4-day immersive course called The Flight of the Eagle.

This course is designed for those who wish to:

  • begin or strengthen a spiritual path rooted in nature

  • establish a living relationship with the four elements

  • walk with more balance, clarity, and presence

  • support their physical and emotional wellbeing through ancestral wisdom

The Flight of the Eagle focuses on the foundations of walking a conscious spiritual path — learning how to listen, observe, and align with the natural forces that sustain life.

This is not a quick fix or a belief system, but an invitation to remember ancient ways of living in harmony with nature.

If you feel the call to learn with authentic elders and walk this path with respect and commitment, we invite you to connect with us.

Send us a message to receive full course details and book your place.

Spaces are limited to preserve the depth and quality of the teachings.

Join us for a sacred celebration honoring our ancestors through the powerful medicine of cacao and the joyful liberation of ecstatic dance. We will create a special altar inspired by the Mexica tradition, where you are invited to bring photos of your beloved departed, along with their favorite foods and offerings, to honor their memory and presence among us.

The ceremony will be led by Rafasemilla, a medicine man and devoted student of the Mexica and Olmec traditions, who brings deep ancestral wisdom from Colombia and Mexico. Julia Diniz, a medicine music singer, percussionist, and DJ, will guide us with her soulful sound healing and play a captivating DJ set to carry participants fully into the ecstatic dance experience. We are also honored to welcome special guest Yamir from Colombia, a traditional indigenous flute player, whose music will beautifully weave through the ceremony.

Through prayers and shared remembrance, we open our hearts to connect deeply with those who came before us. The cacao ceremony will guide us in opening our hearts and inviting healing, while the ecstatic dance frees our spirits to celebrate life, movement, and connection.

This gathering is a heartfelt ritual of remembrance, gratitude, and transformation—a space where ancestral wisdom meets modern celebration. Come bring your stories, your love, and your presence as we honor the lineage that sustains us through cacao, prayer, and dance.

Sweat Lodge Retreat

Honoring the Sacred Masculine and Feminine.

  • Men's Retreat: Saturday 24th of May (overnight camping).

  • Women's Retreat: Sunday 25th of May (overnight camping).

We invite you to our special New Year Sweat Lodge Retreat at Inti & Waira House, where we will hold separate ceremonies for men and women-creating safe, sacred spaces for each to express, heal, and open up beyond the restrictions often imposed by society.

Why Separate Spaces?
In many Indigenous traditions, it is recognized that men and women each carry unique energies and wisdom. By gathering in gender-specific circles, we honor the need for safe environments where everyone can share openly, process, and support one another in deep, authentic ways.

🌿✨ *SPECIAL INVITATION FROM COLOMBIA TO THE UK* ✨🌿

Dear UK community,

We warmly invite you to a *unique experience* with two Colombian soul siblings arriving from the heart of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta: *Pachamagda* and *Rafasemilla*.

🌱 *Pachamagda* travels with sacred cacao from the *Arhuaco community*, ancestral wisdom keepers from the Heart of the World.

She is also a teacher of movement arts, specialized in Afro-Colombian and African dance, rooted in the syncretic legacy of our mestizo heritage in Latin America. Her dance is *medicine*, a gateway to connect with the Earth, open the heart, and awaken spontaneity and vitality.

🪘 Alongside her comes *Rafasemilla, keeper of rhythm, drums, and sacred songs from **Colombianísimas—his original medicine music inspired by the jungle and tribal ancestry. Together, they co-create **Cacao Tribal Dance*, a ceremony merging cacao, drumming, chanting, and ecstatic movement.

🍫 We will drink *sacred cacao from the Sierra Nevada, sing together, dance with the Earth, and step fully into the **present moment. Let your **inner child blossom*, move freely, and offer your dance as a prayer to the unseen realms—inviting the blessing of the waters that nourish the land.

🎁 *Early bird tickets available now!* From £20

(Open to deeper contributions to support this sacred cacao project and our artistic path)

🧉 *IMPORTANT:*

Please *reserve your spot in advance* so we can prepare the right amount of cacao and hold the space with care.

Early bird tickets available now!

Tonalli: The Path to Abundance and Prosperity

Tonalli: The Path to Abundance and Prosperity

Some of the translations of the Nahuatl word Tonalli include “our essence,” “our warmth,” “vital energy,” and “path or destiny.” This course explores the principles of abundance from the Mexican worldview, integrating ancestral practices into a modern vision for personal, spiritual, economic, and financial development.
