Dear friends and community,

We are pleased to share that our first emergency relief campaign has now been successfully delivered. Thanks to your generosity, essential supplies were purchased and distributed to people affected by the recent earthquakes in Venezuela.

We invite you to visit our website and social media, where you can see the photos, videos, and updates showing exactly what was purchased and how the donations have been used. Transparency has always been at the heart of this appeal, and we remain committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.

Although our first delivery has been completed, the emergency is far from over. Many families continue to need support, and we are committed to standing with them for the months ahead.

A New Donation Process

To strengthen our commitment to transparency and accountability, we have updated the way donations are being managed.

From this point forward, all donations will be received and administered by The Seeds Alliance Projects CIC. Once we reach each fundraising target, the funds will be transferred directly to an official humanitarian organisation in Venezuela responsible for purchasing and distributing emergency aid.

This means that donations will no longer be channelled through private individuals, ensuring greater transparency, stronger governance, and clear accountability throughout the entire process.

Our commitment remains simple: every donation will be used exclusively to support those affected by this humanitarian emergency.

Beyond Politics

This appeal is not affiliated with any political party, movement, or ideology. We are not interested in politicising this humanitarian crisis.

Our only purpose is to stand alongside people who are suffering and to contribute our small grain of sand towards relieving their hardship. We believe that compassion, solidarity, and humanity should always come before politics.

On 24 June, two devastating earthquakes struck Venezuela, leaving thousands of families without safe homes, clean water, food, and access to essential supplies. As emergency teams continue their work, many communities remain in urgent need of support.

Who We Are

This fundraiser is being organised by Inti & Waira House, a community organisation based in Romford, Essex (United Kingdom). We bring people together through monthly community gatherings, cultural activities, wellbeing events, and opportunities to build meaningful connections rooted in compassion, solidarity, and mutual support.

Where We Are From

Inti & Waira House is based in Romford, Essex, while Kerlyn is Venezuelan and has close family members and trusted contacts in the areas affected by the earthquakes.

Our Relationship to the People Receiving Support

Kerlyn has family, friends, and long-standing trusted contacts in Venezuela. One of these trusted contacts is already on the ground, with transport and established relationships with local community groups organising relief efforts.

Rather than sending funds through large organisations, this campaign allows emergency supplies to be purchased locally and delivered directly to families and community-led distribution points, helping support reach those in need as quickly as possible during this critical time.

Inti & Waira House is supporting Kerlyn by coordinating this fundraising campaign, communicating with donors, and ensuring transparency throughout the process.

How the Funds Will Be Used

Every donation will be used exclusively to support people affected by the earthquakes in Venezuela.

Funds will be transferred to Kerlyn's trusted local contact to purchase and distribute emergency supplies based on the needs identified by affected communities.

This includes:

Clean drinking water

Food and baby supplies

Hygiene and sanitation kits

Essential medicines and first-aid supplies

Blankets and bedding

Temporary shelter materials

Fuel and transportation needed to deliver aid directly to communities

Other essential items as local needs evolve

No funds raised through this campaign will be used for personal expenses or unrelated organisational costs.

This Is Only the Beginning

Although emergency relief is urgently needed today, recovery will take months—and for many families, even years.

The news cycle may move on, but the people affected by this disaster will continue facing enormous challenges long after the headlines disappear.

At Inti & Waira House, we are committed to standing alongside the people of Venezuela beyond this initial emergency appeal. Alongside this fundraiser, we will be organising community fundraising events, prayer gatherings, healing circles, and other initiatives to continue supporting affected families throughout their recovery.

Our hope is to create an ongoing network of solidarity, where our community in Romford and beyond can continue making a meaningful difference as rebuilding begins.

In addition to providing food, clean water, medicines, hygiene supplies, and emergency shelter materials, we are also raising funds to purchase essential rescue equipment for local volunteers.

Many people in the affected communities are working tirelessly alongside official emergency services to search for survivors and assist families trapped by collapsed buildings. However, the equipment available is extremely limited.

Donations may be used to purchase urgently needed tools and protective equipment, such as shovels, pickaxes, crowbars, wheelbarrows, gloves, helmets, ropes, torches, first-aid supplies, and other items requested by local rescue teams.

By equipping community volunteers with the tools they need, we can help them carry out rescue efforts more safely and effectively during these critical days, when every minute can make the difference between life and death.
