One Fire For All Family Camping Weekend, is a transformative intergenerational family gathering that unites people from all walks of life in cultural immersion experience. Encouraging a connection to nature, through educational programmes, workshops, music, wisdom sharing and seed exchange; centred around a sacred fire held by elders from a variety of cultural traditions.

Our aim is to deliver Nature Arts events and educational activities that focus on ancestral wisdom, environmental stewardship, permaculture, health, and wellbeing. By co-creating a local economy with our community, we seek to improve living conditions and foster healthier lifestyles for all participants.

Our vision is to establish One Fire For All as a sustainable festival that bridges ancient wisdom from different parts of the world and shares it with the community. We aim to create a space for cultural exchange, knowledge sharing, and innovative practices that strengthen the health and resilience of communities. Berkeley Farm serves as the heart of this vision—a sanctuary for wild animals and natural ecosystems. By building a community around the farm, we hope to protect its wild nature while inspiring environmental stewardship and sustainable living practices.

Sharing the Seeds.

Seed sharing and exchanges a big part of this gathering, reconnecting with indigenous ways of knowing and sharing wisdom. Through this seed sharing inititave we will come together as a community to exchange and celebrate seed varieties. Especially focusing on those that hold cultural significance and seeds that are local and climate resilient.

We come together to share our diverse cultures. Traditions, and visions for a new dawn for humanity, guided by the wisdom of elders from the far corners of the world. Through our cultural exchange we aim to centre those from marginalised communities who are most affected by climate crisis, but often hold valuable knowledge and ways of knowing that lead to deeper connections with nature. With the rise of mental illness, especially for inner city communities, we aim to promote the benefits of being in nature and its proven effects on our nervous systems and mental well being.

We aim to use seed sharing as both a format and a vehicle to exchange knowledge, bringing attention to pressing challenges such as the climate crisis, social injustice, and inequitable access to nature and natural resources. By fostering these exchanges, we aim to highlight the interconnectedness of environmental and social issues while empowering communities to address them collaboratively.

Our mission

Is to ignite a fire that honours the rich tapestry of cultures that shape our global society, embodying the spirit of respect and paving the way for a new Earth.

We believe that the wisdom to move forward In an aware, conscious and positive way exists within the various cultures and wisdom keepers. Through this cultural exchange we aim to highlight the need for de-colonial ways of connecting to knowledge and nature, that centres the lived experience of knowledge of indigenous peoples and wisdom keepers.

We aim to share Indigenous technologies such as ritual, reciprocity with nature and storytelling to help the audience deepen their connection to nature, knowledge and community.

Who We Are

One Fire For All was born out of the vision of the Seeds Alliance Project, an initiative dedicated to raising awareness about food sovereignty, introducing permaculture practices in urban areas, and fostering Alternative Community Economies (ACE) to tackle poverty and social inequalities. The Seeds Alliance Project serves as the foundation for our work, emphasizing the connection between sustainable living, cultural preservation, and community empowerment.

The first One Fire For All Festival was held in 2023, receiving incredible support from our community of artists, volunteers, and visitors to Berkeley Farm and Inti & Waira House. Thanks to this collective effort, we committed to making this festival an annual event. In 2024, it was once again the call of the community that brought the festival to life. Now, in our third year, we aim to expand its impact and develop the infrastructure needed to secure its future as a sustainable celebration of culture, nature, and community.

Since its inception, the festival has focused on raising funds to repair existing structures at Berkeley Farm and build new infrastructure to host more participants while minimizing environmental impact. Our fundraising efforts also include installing a solar panel system to improve conditions at the farm and facilitate workshops and activities. At its core, One Fire For All addresses the needs of Berkeley Farm while inspiring environmental stewardship and fostering a deeper connection between people and nature.

Infrastructure Goals for One Fire For All Festival

We are working towards completing several infrastructure projects that are essential for the development of our services and the creation of a welcoming space for people to experience arts, education, and wellbeing in nature. These upgrades will not only enhance the festival experience but also support Berkeley Farm as a hub for sustainable living and environmental stewardship.

  • Toilets and Showers: Rebuilding these areas and creating a water/washing station.

  • Camping Area Preparation: Leveling and flattening the ground for safe camping spaces.

  • Main Water Area for Campers: Establishing a reliable water access point for camping guests.

  • Yoga/Dance Platform: Constructing a covered platform for yoga, dance classes, and communal dining.

  • Water Pond: Installing a pond to collect water for plants and dishwashing needs.

  • Solar Panels: Implementing a solar energy system to support sustainable operations.

    Long term infrastructure Goals

  • Small Cabin for Volunteers: Providing comfortable accommodations for our dedicated team.

  • Treehouse for Children: Building a space that fosters creativity and play for younger attendees.

  • Crystal Dome Theater: Creating a unique space for performances and workshops.

  • Lake Area Development: Enhancing biodiversity by creating a lake area to nurture wildlife.

Why These Upgrades Matter

By investing in these developments, we aim to provide participants with an enriching experience while minimizing the ecological footprint of the festival. Each project supports our vision of making Berkeley Farm a sanctuary for wildlife and a model for sustainable living practices. Additionally, these improvements will help us accommodate more attendees comfortably, ensuring that everyone can fully engage in the transformative experiences offered at One Fire For All Festival.
